Dial-Up Number FinderWe've expanded our dial-up network! Accessing your Cape.Com account is no longer limited to MA and NH. Now you can travel across the continental US* and dial in to over 3,700 unique local access numbers (7,000 POPs) along the way. Use this easy number finder to locate the best local access number** for where you intend to be. Simply enter a state or area code below, and the page will refresh with a list of access numbers matching your criteriar. Choose the one closest to your location, enter that number into your dial-up connection box and connect. It's that easy! For your convenience, we also provide links below to our standard MA & NH access numbers, should you wish to use these.
You must use relay.cape.com as your outgoing mail server, and enter your full email address in the dial-up networking (DUN) setting (username@cape.com) of your Windows control panel, or the Remote Access area of a Mac, when using our nationwide database. Please see changing your outgoing mail server for more information about using relay.cape.com. Upon returning home, remember to change the local access number back to your regular dial-up number. * The lower continental 48 states and some Canadian cities, but not including Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. ** Some areas of the US require 10-digit dialing for a local number, while others require just 7 digits. Please check with the telephone company or a friend in the area to determine how many digits are required to make a local call. |
