• We do not read your private online communications
  

  Cape.Com honors the confidentiality of its members private communications and does not read or disclose private communications except to comply with a valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order, to protect the company's rights and property, or during emergencies when we believe physical safety is at risk.

• We do not use any information about the pages that you visit on Cape.Com or the Web, and we do not give it to others.
  

  Our system automatically gathers information about the areas you visit on web sites that we host. This information only indicates that a Cape.Com user (or anyone else in the world) visited a site and read specific files. It does not contain any information on the identity of the visitor. This infomation is supplied to the administrator of the web site so they can determine the volume of traffic that their site is generating.

  We do not collect any information about where you go on the Internet or what 'Net services you use. The Web sites you visit may have their own privacy policies or no policy at all. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of Web sites before providing them with any of your personal information.

In addition, Cape.Com will cooperate with the appropriate legal authorities in investigating claims of illegal activity, including but not limited to illegal transfer or use of copyrighted material, newsgroup postings or email containing threats of violence, or other illegal activity.

Cape.Com makes no guarantee and assumes no liability for the security of any data on any server including "secure servers." Our customers are reminded that no computer system should be considered safe from intrusion. E-mail may pass through many computer systems, and should not be considered a secure means of communication unless encrypted. Even then, information is only as secure as the encryption method used.
