In-Home Installation
When you open your account with Cape.Com, you may request a home installation (Standard ISS Visit). An Internet Service Specialist (ISS) will contact you by phone to make an appointment to come to your home/office and:
By the time the ISS leaves your home, you'll be "surfing the net". You probably won't get all of your questions answered (that could take a long time!) but you'll get pointed in the right direction. For two weeks after the installation, the ISS will answer additional questions via Email. This is included in the price of the home installation. The price of a home installation (Standard ISS Visit) is $50.00/hr* . You are expected to make an on-line payment to Cape.Com via credit card at the conclusion of a successful visit. [The ISS will be more than happy to show you how!] If you can't get on-line, or, for some reason, the installation is not successful, you are only obligated to pay the Trip Fee*. We are expecting your computer and modem to be in good working condition. Your ISS will NOT attempt to repair your computer or modem. Very early in the visit, the ISS will test your computer, modem, and phone line. If any are defective, the ISS will briefly discuss your repair options and depart. Again, if you can't get on-line, or, for some reason, the installation is not successful, you are only obligated to pay the Trip Fee*. Please schedule another ISS visit after the repair has been made. * Standard ISS Visit Pricing Policy: In-home/office software installation, tutorial, and on-line tour using dialup access.
Multiple installs at the same site at same time:
* On-Site Assistance: Cape.Com users in need of on-site assistance, such as modem repair/replacement, assistance running a particular computer program, etc., can request On-Site Assistance at anytime. The charges for On-Site Assistance are as follows:
Should you schedule an ISS, and/or On-Site Assistance, and find that you cannot make your appointment time, please contact us or the Cape.Com representative no later than 24 hours before your appointment; otherwise your account will be charged a $25 cancellation fee.
