Disable Windows 2000 Dynamic DNS Update

Glossary Items:

DNS Client Setup in Windows 2000

By default, the DNS property tab, found within TCP/IP Properties, is set to "Register this connection's addresses in DNS." CAPECOM does not allow dynamic updates to DNS from DNS clients. Therefore, it is essential that the "Register this connection's address in DNS" checkbox is unchecked in all Windows 2000 computers (both Professional and Server).
