Custom 404 Error Page
Cape.Com's web servers are configured to present a 404 File Not Found web page, when visitors to your Virtually Hosted domain access an unknown file within your site. In most cases, you'll want to offer them a page that has the same look as others within your site. To provide this option, follow these steps:
ErrorDocument 404 /404.html ErrorDocument 403 /403.html (If your site in not virtually hosted, your htaccess file should look like the following:) ErrorDocument 404 http://vXX.cape.com/~username/404.html ErrorDocument 403 http://vXX.cape.com/~username/403.html (vXX refers to your capecom virtual machine name, e.g., vma, vsm, vmb, etc.) Now visit a non-existant page on your site, for example foocom.html and you should now see what you entered in 404.html.
