Changing Your Password
- Go to On-Line Accounting, and login with your Cape.Com user name and password.
- Click the "Change User's Password" button.
If you have an associate user on your account, and you are changing the associate user's password rather than your own, then instead:
- Find the box directly to the left of the "Change User's Password" button
- Select the associate user by clicking the down arrow in the box, and then clicking on the the associate user. You should now see the associate user's name in the box rather than your own name.
- Click the "Change User's Password" button.
- Enter the new password, then enter it again as prompted. Click the "Change Password Now!" button.
- Your password is now changed on Cape.Com's system. If you type in your password each time you connect to the Internet and check your mail, then you are finished.
If you have your password saved on your computer, then, the next time you try to connect or check your mail, you will receive a message that the password is incorrect, and you will be prompted to enter it again. Enter the new password, and, if the new password entered is correct, your system will save the new password.
