National Dial-Up Access
We've gone national! We've expanded our dial-up network across the country. Accessing your Cape.Com account is no longer limited to MA and NH. Now you can travel across the continental US* and dial in to over 3,700 unique local access numbers along the way. July 2004 -- The national dial-up database of numbers has been updated! Use our easy number finder to search our updated database. No reason to use expensive 'per minute' numbers anymore, or switch ISP's because you are moving. You don't even need to convert your account to winter shutdown mode any longer -- you can stay with Cape.Com all year long. Best of all, your friends and relatives living in other parts of the U.S. can now sign up for the same Cape.Com service that you have been raving to them about for years! Nationwide Dial-Up is available to Virtually Unlimited and Pro Plan accounts. The Pro Dial-Up plan (350 hours/mo.) includes the use of our nationwide local access numbers in the standard $24/month rate. Should you want Nationwide Dial-Up service with your Virtually Unlimited plan (150 hours/mo.), there is an additional $3/mo. fee to the standard $18/mo. rate, bringing the rate to $21/month. We're sorry, but we cannot offer Nationwide Dial-up service to our grandfathered Basic plan customers (10 hours/mo.). If you have several users within your organization who wish to use the Nationwide Dialup numbers, they would need to either sign in under the master account name/password one at a time, or get an associate user plan if they want to be able to sign in simultaneously and under their own username. The Associate User plan fee is $15/mo. for Virtually Unlimited (150 hours) and $20/mo. for Pro (350 hours). Please contact support@cape.com for more information on discounted Associate User Dialup plans. You MUST be signed up for the Nationwide Dial-Up plan before you can use the numbers in the database. The nationwide access numbers will NOT work if you are not signed up for this plan. This includes those where this service is included in the Pro Plan. This is due to the need for a new password. Contact support@cape.com to have this service enabled on your account. Also, be advised that to use our Nationwide Dialup Plan, you must change your outgoing mail server to: relay.cape.com. For more information on changing your mail server, see the link below. Use our easy number finder to locate the best local access number** for where you intend to be. Upon returning home, remember to change the local access number back to your regular dial-up number. * Continental US refers to the lower 48 states, where a local phone number is now available in most metro areas, as well as a few Canadian cities. ** Some areas of the US require 10-digit dialing for a local number, while others require just 7 digits. Please check with the telephone company or a friend in the area to determine how many digits are required to make a local call. While the database provides a comprehensive list of local access numbers across the continental United States, it is ultimately the user's responsibility to verify that the numbers are deemed local to their location, and are not subject to toll-call charges before they are used. Any charges incurred by the user are the responsibility of the user, and not the responsibility of Cape.Com, Inc. Related DocumentsDial-up Services for Individuals, Families and Businesses
