Access Options While Travelling/Moving
Cape.Com has put together a number of dialup access services to meet your needs no matter where you are. So whether you are travelling or moving out of state, you can keep Cape.Com with you! We have local access numbers throughout all of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Unlike many ISP's, calls made to these numbers are answered by Cape.Com owned and operated equipment. As a result, we're able to provide a number of unique services including: - Static IP's When you're on the road, or even out of New England for an extended period of time, Cape.Com has a number of choices for dialing into the Net. Nationwide Dialup AccessOur National dialup lines are available throughout the Continental US and a few Canadian cities. Over 2800 phone numbers will provide you with a local access number in almost every US Metro area. There are no toll charges or per minute charges associated with our National lines. If you live on the Cape for part of the year, and escape to Florida, Arizona or any other location in the lower 48 during the winter, we have a local number for you. Use our web-based number finder to determine the phone numbers you'll need to make a local connection. National Dialup Access is included free of charge with the Pro Plan and a nominal $3/mo. fee when accompanying our Virtually Unlimited plan. WebMailCape.Com's web-based email program is also available for use while travelling. Keep in mind, however, that you still need to connect to the Internet in order to use Webmail. Many times, hotels, airports, conference centers and other public places are Internet-ready, allowing you to use their local numbers to connect. Make sure before you connect whether the service is gratis, or something that will show on your bill. 800 ServiceAn 800 number is available which will connect you to our local dial-in network. This single number works throughout the entire lower 48 states. A per minute charge of 12 cents applies to all calls placed to the 800 number. It's more expensive than the National dial-up lines, but it's available in areas where there may not be a local phone number. 800 access is great if you don't expect to be connected for any length of time, and as a backup to the National dialup lines. 800 calls made to Massachusetts numbers are actually more expensive at 14 cents per minute, so please use your standard Cape.Com access number when home. For billing purposes on the 800 number, the time is rounded up to the next full minute.
